Selection Criteria:
Eligibility for the
Lifetime Achievement Award
requires nominees to have a minimum of 25 years of research/professional
experience in the field of smart construction and production. They must
have demonstrated significant, long-term contributions that have advanced
the state of smart construction and production. Nominees should have evidence
of recognition by peers and industry, such as awards, citations, or other
forms of acknowledgment. Proven leadership roles in academia, industry,
or government, including mentoring and fostering new talent in the field,
are essential. Additionally, nominees must have documented impact on the
industry through influential publications, patents, or the implementation
of innovative technologies and methodologies.
Young Professional Award : Celebrates emerging leaders under the age of 38 who have demonstrated exceptional promise in the field.
Selection Criteria:
To be eligible for the
Young Professional Award
, nominees must be under the age of 38 as of the award submission deadline.
They should have a minimum of 5 years of research/professional experience
in smart construction and production. Demonstrated exceptional achievements
and contributions to the field, including research, project implementation,
or innovative practices, are required. Nominees must show evidence of exceptional
promise and potential to become future leaders in the industry.
Excellence in Collaboration Award : Acknowledges successful partnerships between academia, industry, and government that have led to significant advancements in smart construction and production.
Selection Criteria:
The
Excellence in Collaboration Award
is open to partnerships that include at least one representative from
academia, and one from industry or government. The partnership must have
been active for at least two years. Demonstrated significant advancements
in smart construction and production as a direct result of the collaboration
are essential. Nominees should provide evidence of innovative approaches
or solutions that emerged from the partnership. Additionally, measurable
impact on the industry, such as successful projects, publications, policy
changes, or technological advancements, is required.
Emerging Technology Award : Celebrates the introduction and integration of new technologies that show great potential in the industry.
Selection Criteria:
Eligibility for the
Emerging Technology Award
requires the technology to be a new introduction or a significant improvement
over existing technologies in the field of smart construction and production.
The technology must have been implemented in at least one real-world project
or pilot program. Demonstrated potential for widespread adoption and significant
impact on the industry is essential. Detailed documentation of the technology,
including the development process, testing, and results, must be provided.
Community Impact Award : Recognizes projects or initiatives that have had a positive impact on local communities.
Selection Criteria:

Community Impact Award
, the project or initiative must be directly related to smart construction
and production. Demonstrated engagement and collaboration with local communities
are required. Nominees should provide evidence of positive impact on the
community, such as improved infrastructure, job creation, environmental

within the last three years. The project should demonstrate innovative
integration of smart technologies into building or infrastructure development,

or overall project outcomes is essential. The project should also showcase
successful collaboration among various stakeholders, including developers,
contractors, and technology providers.
Smart Production Award : Recognizes advancements in smart production techniques that have improved manufacturing and production processes.
Selection Criteria:
To be eligible for the
Smart Production Award
, the advancements must have been implemented within the last three years
and should demonstrate significant improvements in off-site manufacturing
and production processes. The innovation should leverage smart production
techniques such as automation, AI, IoT, or advanced data analytics to enhance
productivity, quality, and efficiency. Evidence of measurable outcomes,
such as increased production rates, reduced defects, cost savings, or environmental
benefits, must be provided. The nominee should also demonstrate how these
advancements can be scaled or adapted across the construction industry.
Digital Transformation Award : Recognizes organizations that have successfully transformed their operations through digital technologies.
Selection Criteria:
Eligibility for the
Digital Transformation Award
requires that the organization must have implemented a comprehensive digital
transformation within the last two years. The transformation should encompass
significant changes to business operations, processes, and culture through
the adoption of digital technologies such as cloud computing, AI, big data,
IoT, or blockchain. Evidence of improved operational efficiency, customer
satisfaction, innovation capacity, and competitive advantage must be provided.
The organization should also demonstrate a clear strategy for ongoing digital
innovation and adaptation.
Robotics in Construction Award : Recognizes innovative use of robotics in construction projects to enhance productivity and quality.
Selection Criteria:
To be eligible for the
Robotics in Construction Award
, the use of robotics must have been implemented in construction projects
within the last two years. The innovation should demonstrate how robotics
have been used to enhance productivity, quality, safety, or efficiency
in construction activities. Evidence of successful integration of robotics
into the construction workflow and measurable improvements in project outcomes
must be provided. The project should also highlight the collaboration between
robotics developers, construction firms, and other stakeholders.

During this period, the selection committee will assess all eligible nominations in accordance with the published criteria. -
Finalists Announced: Early August 2026
Finalists will be contacted directly, and their names will be published on our website and social media platforms. -
Award Presentation Ceremony: 19-20 November 2026, Melbourne, Australia
Awards will be presented at our annual conference IPC2026 ( https://delab.com.au/ipc2026/ ) . Further details will be shared with all finalists.
3. Nomination Process
SCP encourages the community to nominate deserving candidates for our awards. The nomination process is designed to be transparent and straightforward, ensuring that all deserving contributions are considered. Here’s how you can nominate someone:
Step 1: Identify the Award Category
Review the award categories and determine the most appropriate category for your nominee based on their contributions and achievements.
Step 2: Prepare the Nomination Package
Gather the necessary documents to support your nomination. A complete nomination package typically includes:
- Nominee’s Resume/CV : Detailed professional background and achievements.
- Nomination Letter : A letter outlining the nominee’s contributions, impact, and why they deserve the award.
- Additional Documentation (Optional): Any relevant publications, project summaries, or other supporting materials.
Step 3: Submit the Nomination
Complete the online nomination form available on the SCP website. Attach the nomination package and submit it before the specified deadline. Ensure all required fields are filled and documents are uploaded correctly.
Step 4: Review and Selection
The SCP Awards Committee will review all nominations. The committee, comprising experts from various sectors, evaluates each nomination based on the criteria set for each award category. Finalists may be contacted for additional information or clarification if needed.
